French fashion house Balenciaga has just unveiled an updated version of their iconic logo.
Since Vetements founder Demna Gvasalia took over at the classic luxury brand in 2015, Balenciaga’s aesthetics have been consistently becoming more and more modern and avant-garde. The logo has a new typeface that is slightly bolder than its previous iteration. This new logo clearly reflects Gvasalia’s distinct vision for Balenciaga as creative director.
In a release the brand said:
“Conceived in-house, the development process was inspired by the clarity of public transportation signage. The result is a visually shortened logo which gives a simple, bold stamp to the timeless deluxe Balenciaga signature.”
The new logo will make its official debut at Balenciaga’s upcoming spring runway show this Sunday at Paris Fashion Week.
