New York-based label Altuzarra has just unveiled their first-ever eyewear collection.
The collection includes five frames ranging from classic aviators to edgy round styles, all with a subtle wire-formed ‘A’ on the bridge. The sunglasses strike the ideal balance of feminine and fashion-forward, while having a slightly retro vibe. Designer Joseph Altuzarra found inspiration for the collection in 80s movies, photography and illustrations. The sunglasses will be seen on the catwalk at Altuzarra’s upcoming Spring 2018 runway show in Paris, which will be the brand’s first in the City of Lights.
Speaking to Vogue about the new collection, Altuzarra said:
“I really wanted the overall mood and feeling of it to be of strength and power, confidence, and seduction, eyewear is an extension of who our woman is — I think she’s quite powerful and sexy, and a little mysterious.”
The sunglasses range in price from $455 to $575. The entire collection is available now, exclusively at Barneys New York.
