A new trailer for the *unauthorized* Morrissey biopic is out and we’re already so into it.
The film is called England Is Mine (of course it is) and it takes place in the 1970s, following young and moody teen Morrissey (Steven Patrick Morrissey that is) on his journey to meet Johnny Marr and form that little band called The Smiths. Jack Lowden takes on the iconic role of Morrissey in the much buzzed about film, alongside Jessica Brown Findlay who plays Liverpudlian visual artist Linder Sterling (though you may recognize Findlay as Lady Sybil Cora Branson from Downton Abbey). The film was directed by Mark Gill and produced with Baldwin Li and Orian Williams (who also produced Ian Curtis biopic Control).

England Is Mine premieres at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on July 2 and then hits select cinemas on August 4.
