After warnings of rain were replaced with rays of sunshine, fans descended upon 51 Commissioners Street for the first day of NXNE Port Lands 2017.
The afternoon kicked off to a slow start as attendees made the transition from week to weekend and opening performances were provided by the likes of Jalen Santoy, Cold Specks, The Regrettes and local rap group EMP (featuring Kardinall Offishall on the 1s and 2s and a surprise appearance from Sean Leon).
The grounds began to pack up as the sun set and fan favourites Amir Obè and Post Malone took the stage. Posty, a natural entertainer, captured the crowd’s attention and lead them through soulful performances of numerous hits like “Congratulations,” “Deja Vu,” “White Iverson” and “Go Flex.”
