Australian band Parcels have just been blessed with a rare coveted opportunity – a song co-written and produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangaltar of the legendary Parisian duo Daft Punk.
Titled “Overnight,” the song features a funky guitar riff evocative of Homem-Christo and Bangaltar’s massive No.1 hit “Get Lucky.” The circumstances which lead to this collaboration first sparked last year, during a chance meeting at a club in Paris. The encounter later developed into a friendship and now, into “Overnight,” which was written and recorded inside the French capital. Having forged this incredible track, the Kitsuné-signed Parcels have now joined Kanye West (Yeezus), The Weekend (Starboy), Arcade Fire (“Everything Now“) and a short list of others, as as artists who’ve been able to work with Guy-Man and Thomas.
