Earlier this month, San Francisco-based queer pop punk band The Total Bettys released their debut album Peach (insert all the peach emojis here). The quartet (made up of Maggie, Bri, Chris and Chloé) first formed back in 2015 and now we here at Sidewalk Hustle and thrilled to premiere their video for “I’ll Fix It” off their new debut.

Directed by Britta Lauritzen, the video was filmed in the beloved Oakland DIY venue Oakland.secret, which is currently facing the battle many DIY venues face, trying to meet the city’s safety codes. The Total Bettys are also totally suggesting you make a donation to the cause if you can here. DIY or die, right?

As the band’s own Maggie told us…

“It was such a dream come true working with Britta. They made the whole experience feel so comfortable and fun. We were also all so glad to be able to share the experience with so many of our friends– they were real troopers listening to the song like 100 times in a row. We also want to shout out our beloved local DIY spot Oakland.secret for letting us use their venue to shoot. If you had the ability to donate to their You Caring campaign, they are currently trying to get their space up to code.”

Watch the video for “I’ll Fix It” above.

Peach is out now on Lauren Records. Grab yourself a cassette here. You can also catch The Total Bettys on tour at the dates in the poster below.
