Last month, Brooklyn-based ’80s influenced indie pop act Elisa dropped her Kate Bush-esque video for “You Can Wear The Mink,” and now she’s back with the title track off her upcoming EP. Elisa’s new EP, titled Morning Again, is the follow-up to her 2015 debut EP These Days and will be released this May.
In a recent interview with Interview Magazine, Elisa said:
“I wrote “Morning Again” as a response to the culture of violence that seems uniquely pervasive to America. At the time, I felt as though I was (we were) waking up to a new tragedy every morning—another innocent life taken by police brutality, another woman victimized by toxic masculinity, another mass shooting. Things seemed to be exploding all around us in rapid succession and it felt very necessary to write about it.”
