Jaimal Odedra has just launched a small line of design objects sold exclusively at Maison Gerard.
Odedra has had a long and varied career in fashion having worked with brands like Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan, Rick Owens and Givenchy. He has also worked extensively as a costume designer in the Bollywood movie industry. Now, Odedra has expanded into creating bronze objects. Odedra works with Moroccan artisans to create one of a kind sand-casted pieces.
Speaking to Vogue Odedra has said:
“Fashion is about adorning an existing three-dimensional form and enhancing its best features to create a harmonious silhouette. In creating my own 3-dimensional objects now, I think I’ve greatly benefited from that previous experience.”
