Yesterday, Beyoncé once again stopped the world with a major announcement: she and the Carter family are expecting twins. She made the announcement via Instagram with an elegant image of her draped in a sheer green veil surrounded by roses and orchids. The single photo became the most liked photo in Instagram history, gaining a whopping 4.5 million likes within the first hour of announcement. The news was so popular, Twitter was also raking in 17 thousand tweets per minute within the first hour of announcement.
Since the news broke, Bey has posted up more photos of her and the highly anticipated Carter twins onto her website. Poet Warsan Shire, who collaborated with her for spoken work segments on Lemonade, has contributed new words to coincide with Bey’s virtual scrapbook and visual art project of the growing Carter family.
