Spring has officially arrived! While you’re busy flipping your wardrobe and getting ready for summer, why not give your beauty routine a little love? We’ve rounded up five amazing low maintenance looks you’re going to want to master and make part of your rotation now.
No Makeup, Red Lip
This is a daring look. It’s not going to work for everyone, but it’s definitley a showstopper if you can pull it off. In order for this to work, you’re going to want to keep your skin very moisturized. Try using an argon or coconut oil with your daily moisturizer for a bit of added glow. A good, sharp lip liner is key when your lips need to look absolutely perfect. Once you have lined your lips, fill the lips in with a red lipstick of your choice. For a perfect blend, use a lip brush to blend the liner with the lipstick. Keep your lipstick fresh all day, by dabbing with a lib balm of your choice.
Thin Line Cat Eye
The winged liner will forever be a beauty staple. It comes in many forms, and it takes quite a bit of practice. For Spring 2017 you’re going to want to keep your liner light and thin. You want to accentuate the eye instead of adding any extra drama. If you’re still in the learning phase of winged liner, keep a damp q-tip handy to thin and smooth out the liner. Ensure you keep the liner to the top lid only, leaving the bottom lash line clean and natural.
Metallic Under Eye
Metallics came out a bit during the holiday season and are back again, big time for Spring, but you’re going to want to go easy with the metallic shadows and pigments. Less is more! Using a liner brush or a tapered blending brush, apply the shadow under the lash line. Ensure you go over the line a couple of times to blend the shadow in. Two coats of mascara on the upper and lower lashes will complete this look.
Bronzed Cheeks
The bronzed cheek is a perfect way to add a warm glow to the skin during the cool spring months. Tarte, Sephora and Milani all make beautiful shimmery bronzers that can be applied to the high points of the face making you look dewy and sun-kissed. Ensure you apply your bronzer using a big fluffy brush to allow for even tone and maximum blending.
Au Natural Brows
Put down the tweezers! It’s time to let those brows loose! This is an easy look to accomplish, so long as you have eyebrows. You’re going to want to have a clear eyebrow gel handy as well as a mascara spuli and hairspray. Yes, I said hairspray. Taking the eyebrow gel, brush brow hairs upwards to the hairline. Once your brow hairs have dried, spray a bit of hairspray on your mascara spuli and drag the brush through your brows. This will ensure your brows stay in place all day and night.
