As we wrap up 2016, the anticipation for the return of the cult television show Twin Peaks is ramping up. Original director and co-creator of the series David Lynch returned to pick up the story where it left off nearly 25 years ago. A new teaser trailer for the 2017 series shows Lynch has revived his character as Gordon Cole, the donut-eating detective who’s hard of hearing.
The show is making its return on the Showtime network and is expected to air at the start of 2017, possibly as soon as January. No official release date has been announced, and executives from the network have confirmed the structure and release of the show will be unique and unconventional – suggesting the episodes may air on random dates throughout 2017.
