Sleater-Kinney band member and Portlandia co-creator/cast member Carrie Brownstein has directed a new short film for KENZO’s fall-winter campaign. Titled The Realest Real, the short film stars Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon (who just dropped her incredibly dope new single “Murdered Out“) and premiered during KENZO’s New York Fashion Week show. The Realest Real also features Laura Harrier, Mahershala Ali, Natasha Lyonne, and Rowan Blanchard. It’s a funny and thoughtful reflection on our social media-centric lives and the URL world blending with the IRL reality. Also, the clothes are stunning.
