As you probably know, we’re big fans of Korean eyewear and sunglass makers Gentle Monster. For their New York Fashion Week show, GM founder Hankook Kim paid tribute to Olympic Fencing with a high energy performance of models battling it out, interpreting the sport via the new collection.
Aiming to exceed all that has already been done, we work to show the world that we are so much more than an eyewear brand. We’re designers, entrepreneurs and above all, innovative creators, who express creativity through eyewear.
The 2017 collection includes 24 newly developed designs and reiterations and variations of popular styles like Absente, Lovesome, Cuba, and Vanilla Road. USA Olympic Medalist Miles-Chamley Watson represented his sport and fit right in. He was joined by four time World Champion Nzingha Prescod and World Champion Ben Bratton. As far as the front row crowd and attendees, we spotted FKA Twigs, Rich The Kid, Mel Ottenberg, Adam Selman, Cipriana, TK Quann, Kitty Kash, and Margaret Zhang.
The collection will be available in the Spring in all Gentle Monster flagships worldwide, Gentle Monster New York, GentleMonster.com, Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom.
