“See now, buy now,” the new concept taking the fashion industry by storm allows customers to purchase pieces immediately after they hit the runway. It makes sense in a world where fast fashion has dominated and ever-present social media means the world can see a collection instantly, and long before it hits the sales floor.
Following in the footsteps of Rebecca Minkoff who showed her #SeeBuyWear collection at NYFW, Pink Tartan’s Kimberley Newport-Mimran applied “shop from the runway” model for her Fall/Winter 2016 “Front Row” collection earlier this week, which fills in the reason behind the name, and why the entire audience had coveted front row positions – they needed to see what they were buying!
It will be interesting to see if this approach catches on, but for now – the clothes. Pink Tartan showed chic monochromatic looks in stunning colours, mixed with mod graphics and clustered brooches, all topped with cozy stoles and shaggy jackets. The styling choices were on point as well, pulling together a look for a sophisticated girl with a twist.
Head to Holt Renfrew now to shop the collection.
