Only Alexander Wang would have the balls to send a collection of rebellious looks down the runway inside Saint Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church at New York Fashion Week. Marking his departure from Balenciaga this season Wang was inspired heavily by grunge and punk rock transporting us almost directly back to the 90s. Mixing in a few male silhouettes, Wang’s ladies were dressed in bad ass leather and fuzzy pot leaf printed skirts with sheer tops with swords like Tender, Strict, & Faded covering up their bits. These words also appeared on beanies and tights through the collection while accessories were fitted with silver balls and spikes for extra edge.
