Kicking off the third and busiest day yet at New York Fashion Week was Lacoste. For Fall Winter 2016, Felipe Oliveira Baptista’s take on the brands ski heritage showcased futuristic styles which we could only envision one wearing when in aprés ski mode. Models walked the U-shaped runway fitted with angular wooden notches at Spring Studios wearing sporty colourful streetwear pieces in retro orange, hot pink, soft teal, and lots of navy.
There was a definite editorial vibe to the collection we haven’t seen yet from the brand with a sporty edge that made the looks somehow wearable. Our favourite pieces from the collection fell mostly in the outerwear category, but included a ski jumper print sweater set, a mid length hot pink vinyl poncho, a long brown trench, and a velvet zip up bomber jacket.
