American proto-punk turned punk legend Iggy Pop has announced the release of his 17th solo album and the first collection of new material since 2009. The album is called Post Pop Depression, and was produced by the incredible Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age. The album also features Homme and QOTSA member of Dean Fertitia and Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders lending a hand on the instrumental side of things. The album was made in secret at Homme’s studios in Los Angeles and Joshua Tree in California and from the sounds of it is going to be an amazing musical offering.
