SUPER by RETROSUPERFUTURE® has released their newest collection for Fall 2015, entitled NWO. The collection is inspired by formal harmony, rationality and technological innovation, and as such features pure lines, an absence of colour, light materials, accurate detailing and radically minimal silhouettes. With seven different styles, each with two or three variations, the NWO collection is one of the brands largest releases yet.
The Wire Reflector silhouette combine form and function, standing out due to their minimal wire structure and technically innovative lightweight Zeiss lenses. The Wire Reflector Prism, is a well rounded, classic-inspired shape and sports dark black metallic finishing as well as a set of infrared blue mirrored Zeiss lenses. In comparison, the Wire Reflector Blaze features a matte white finish, paired with contrasting burning orange, warm mirror lenses by Zeiss.
Alternatively, the Black Matte silhouette reduces the stylistic qualities to the bare minimum creating a series of sunglasses that are minimal yet luxurious. Available in a wide rounded feminine and sturdy Santa, a softly classic bad-boy Man, and the ultra-oversized metal Okinawa, each pair features meticulous detailing and premium finishings including gun metal hardware and black lenses by Zeiss.
In a change of pace from the last two silhouettes, the Templar features feminine models Ines and Mona, each sporting a shiny crystal clear acetate and subtle silver metalwork. They are completed with a clear lens coated in faint silver reflections for a functional yet classic look. The Zeiss lenses are equipped with thin grey layers of protective film which leave the eye barely visible.
The next silhouette is known as the Decode, and features the Paloma and Versilia silhouettes; two variations on the same theme. Each feature a pure matte black contrasted with a light crystal acetate and enriched by a polished silver. They also have an elegant silver metallic ring circling their off-round lenses, mixed with a combination of slick crystal and matte black acetates on the front and shiny crystal acetate on the arms.
The Intellect silhouette is slightly different from the previous models, and features the América and Panamá models. Both features stainless steel frames that are blended together with the warm earthy tones of their organic tortoise acetate, and sport extra dark black lenses by Zeiss.
Finally, we have the Metric silhouette featuring the Lucia Francis and Panamá models, with a crisp white-on-white surface and two different combinations of material finishings, a shiny white acetate and polished white metalwork. These models have a retro feel to them, and sport tri-flective black mirror lenses by Zeiss.
The full NWO collection is available now at select stockists as well as SUPER by RETROSUPERFUTURE®’s online store, ranging from approximately $232 USD to $389 USD.
