Foals shared a new track called “London Thunder,” off their forthcoming fourth album What Went Down. The track has a much slower vibe than their previous releases for this album. It puts us in the kind of mood “Spanish Sahara” did. Listen to “London Thunder” above and watch the CCTV footage of them in the studio.
Lead singer and guitarist Yannis Philippakis said the album overall is influenced by touring. “We’ve been to a lot of airports over the last few years, and sometimes there’s this cool melancholy to an airport at a certain hour of the evening. It’s about being away and having some sort of experience that changes you, and waiting to return, knowing that the world you’re returning to will be subtly different because you are,” Philippakis told NME. U.S. fans will celebrated the album’s release at listening parties across the country. See dates and locations for those below and more info here.
