Foals shared the music video for “What Went Down,” the lead single off their fourth album of the same name. The Oxford band has been teasing us the last couple of days with little snippets of the video and of the new record. Lead singer Yannis Philippakis was on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show today to premiere “What Went Down” as the Hottest Record.
The track is primal, animalistic, and aggressive. The video perfectly lives up to that. It features a bunch of humans in life threatening situations, including a girl who’s swimming for her life, cut with footage of the band performing the track in a small room. Watch “What Went Down” above to see if our swimmer makes it.
What Went Down is out on August 28th.
