This past week, Vacantful, a Toronto startup that supports local businesses by converting vacant properties into collective pop-ups, launched the ultimate pop-up: “The Everyday” on Queen West, in the heart of Parkdale, is the new home to a collective of over 40 local businesses, brands and artists (click here for the full vendor list).
Drawing inspiration from a small-town general store, The Everyday carries everything from vintage clothing and handmade jewelry to specialty foods and artisanal bath products.
“Many of the vendors that we’re working with have considered their own brick-and-mortar store, but need to test it out first,” says Ghazaleh Etezal, founder of Vacantful. “Together we are transforming vacant spaces, and hopefully also the communities they are situated in.”
We love the homegrown accessories and vintage clothes (particularly the retro sneakers), and the curated collections of Shop Wanderlust are on point. Also, the bath bombs by Bathorium are, well, the bomb!
The shop is open on Monday through Saturday from 12pm-8pm, and 10am-6pm on Sunday. They’re also hosting an event this Thursday, click here to RSVP!
