Nothing like a flood of fringe, lace, and neon flower child looks overtaking your Instagram feed to kick-start festival season (and festival fomo)! We got the ball rolling last weekend at the first weekend of Coachella feeling especially welcome by two of three Canadian headliners Drake and The Weeknd, as well as by our lovely hosts H&M who celebrated the launch of their super cool on-site activation for their H&M Loves Coachella collection.
You might remember a few weeks back when we gave you a little advance festival dressing inspiration with a sneak peek at the H&M Loves Coachella collection, and you’d better believe the girls and guys were out wearing it in troves every single day to the Polo Fields. Since we already went the bohemian route, Hawley decided to take a more unconventional approach to festival dressing this year.
Statement dresses were a key component in her looks each day from H&M, Aritzia, and Canadian brand Virginia Johnson, as were interesting accessories from H&M, New Kid, and Deadly Ponies. Great lipstick like Limecrime’s Chinchilla and Nars Satin Pencil in Yu were our beauty staples, while flatform sandals continue to be the go-to festival footwear of choice. Sunglasses were probably the most important outfit component (after sunscreen of course) to pull everything together.
We documented Hawley’s looks on all three days at the festival, so take a look below now. We even got shot by the H&M drone on the ferris wheel this year, so stay tuned for that in the coming days.
