Primer’s have never been a staple in my makeup bag or kit. I have tested a few, but never came across the right texture for my makeup to sit on. That week, when we were lucky enough to preview Make Up For ever’s new line of STEP 1 Skin Equalizers. Hello primer heaven!
The new collection is made up of ten primers divided into two categories, texture and tone. The texture category includes a mattifying primer, smoothing primer, hydrating primer, nourishing primer and a redness correcting primer. The tone category includes a pink primer, blue primer, yellow primer, peach primer and finally a caramel primer for darker skin tones. A texture primer can be used together with a tone primer, or you can use them alone to prep and prime the skin. There isn’t a skin tone out there that won’t want one of these.
The skin equalizers are formulated with Hyaluronic Acid to moisturize and firm the skin, Vederine to even skin tone and Acti Tensor 3D to smooth skin; combined, these elements aid in better makeup coverage and longer lasting makeup.
