We can always count on Mac DeMarco to deliver a good show; we’ve seen over four times now live in different cities and the bands stage antics never fails to make us chuckle. Today’s Pitchfork Music Festival set was no exception.
Playing all his Rock and Roll Night Club hits including “Baby’s Wearing Blue Jeans,” “Moving Like Mike,” and of course “Rock and Roll Night Club,” their sun drenched set was definitely a highlight on the first day of the festival, and we’re not just saying that because they’re one of many Canadian artists at the festival. Bassist Pierce McGarry started off the set with a beer in hand shouting “Hello Bonnaroo,” and later in the set they played a covers from Velvet Underground, Limp Bizkit, Metallica, and fellow Bachman Turner Overdrive.
They’re playing again tomorrow night at Chicago’s Empty Bottle, so if you missed them today, you should definitely catch them at this festival after party.
