Earlier this week we had a chance to sneak a peek at Norwegian galosh maker SWIMS collection for the forthcoming fall winter 2013 season at Soho House in Toronto. The ever-evolving line incorporates a high end aesthetic with a Scandinavian sense of functionality, and continues to progress and inspire for the fall winer 2013 season.
Under the new direction of Swiss designer Catherine Meuter, who has worked for the likes of Nicholas Kirkwood and Giorgio Armani, SWIMS introduces a new lightweight collection of water resistant footwear and accessories utilizing high-tech materials the brand is known for. In keeping with the classic elements in their collections, Meuter created the Harry high top boots which feature calf leather detailing and a protective coating at the base the call a galosh-belt, as well as the Emma, a womens elevated chelsea boots composed with suede and a rubber wedge heel.
Also new for the fall winter season SWIMS have extended their iconic loafer range to include an anti-slip sole and high top version of the original design. They’ll also be launching their outerwear collection which gained significant popularity in European markets, so they brought it to North America.
