Well, we are full-on in fall mode. The lush green leaves of summer are now orange and red and mostly on the ground. This is usually the time of the year when we pack up our most coveted sneaker heaters and let them lumber through the winter, only occasionally looking longingly. The winter beaters make their appearance, and we spend more time than usual tieing and untieing heavy boots. What a grime picture we just painted, but honestly it’s not that bad. Between some seriously fly all-weather sneakers to some hard af boots, we have once again put together a list of must-have footwear that will have you stunting all winter long. Come spring you might even be a bit reluctant to switch ’em out again. Maybe.
Let’s dive in.
Salomon Speedcross 6 Gore-Tex “Kelp” or “Black”
If there is one thing Salomon is known for, it’s incredible outdoor footwear. With almost a hundred years in the game, it’s no surprise they know how to make a comfortable and functional shoe. Thankfully they also have someone on their team who knows how to make a fresh-looking pair of shoes as well. You may have noticed that Salomon’s have been lowkey popping up in all your fashion situations. That’s because they are the official shoe of the cool fashion insider. So meet your cool no fashion meets functional sneaker, the SPEEDCROSS 6 GORE-TEX. It’s a classic for the brand, drawing on its trail icon status, but way lighter and super grippy. The waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex membranes are ideal for that ever-changing fall weather conditions.

ASICS HS4-S Gel-Sonoma 15-50 GTX “Green Sheen / Epsom”
These are wild! The colour is autumn af, and the look is giving outdoor activities. It isn’t often that a pair of ASICS really hits home for us, but this collabo with London-based menswear brand Kiko Kostadinov Studio delivers one heck of a cool shoe. The intentional nod to ASICS’ trail roots is obvious and works. Made from a synthetic leather upper that repels water with a GORE-TEX membrane, the Gel technology sole provides comfort and shock absorption, and the rubberized outsole gives it an improved grip. These are super sweet.

DIEMME One Hiker Boot “Golden Spice”
Flashy but fashionable. These DIEMME Onè Hiker are cool light hiking boots. Made for milder urban settings the boot features panelled ankle-high suede and canvas in a nice statement yellow and black. The Vibram Chopper sole has a good grip while giving maximum comfort. The little spot of white at the front really helps pull the whole look together.
RAF SIMONS Cylon-21 “Black & Beige”
If you’re looking for the perfect cyberpunk sneaker to help you get through the dystopic cold cold winter looming ahead of us, then look no further than these Raf Simons Cylon-21 sneakers. These low-top sneakers feature panelled buffed leather, patent leather, and mesh in black and beige. While the perforated detailing throughout the shoe makes for a very Bladerunner replicant-vibing look, they are more fashion than functional for the autumn weather. But still, these are way too cool.
COACH 1941 Black Citysole Boots
Everyone needs a reliable YET fashionable pair of lightweight black boots for those everyday city street adventures. Plus you also want something that gives you confidence or at least the look that if you were going “off-road” you would be able to handle it. The Coach Citysole is the perfect all-around boot. Based on vintage military styles, made with richly burnished leather, and is comfy due to the layer of shock-absorbing cushioned pods. Topped off with the durable lug sole and you are stylishly functional.
Nike SFB 6″ NSW Leather “Black”
These are great for people who love sneakers but need to wear boots, the Nike 6-inch Special Field Boot in the SneakerBoot silhouette. It’s pretty straightforward, it’s a sneaker boot and is made with weather-resistant leather and what looks like canvas sitting upon a thick sole. The one thing to always keep in mind when it comes to Nike’s sneakerboots, is that they are water-resistant and NOT waterproof. We have learned this the cold soggy way in the past.
