It’s officially fall, and we’re feeling both excited and some existential dread for the forthcoming cold weather that’s quickly approaching on the East Coast. With the colder temps comes a shift in our skincare routines and an influx of invitations to parties and events to distract us from the gloomy chilly temperatures. We all know the best outfits start with glowing skin, so we’ve rounded up six brand-new skincare products to support the seasonal change and to help keep you looking and feeling your best this fall.

Saltyface Liquid Bronzer, $42 CAD

We’re big fans of Canadian brand Saltyface’s clean self-tanning products, so when we heard they were releasing a bronzer with the same skin-first approach, our interests were piqued! This liquid bronzer works double-duty to give you the perfect summer hit in a bottle while hydrating, brightening and reducing the appearance of dark spots. Hero ingredients include hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and aloe leaf extract which are perfect for sensitive skin and can be easily mixed with serum and moisturizer or on its own to contour.

Humanrace 7D Gel Facial Set, $113 CAD

Pharrell’s skincare brand has delivered yet again with an innovative new product set formulated with ultra-hydrating 7D Hyaluronic Acid, which combines seven molecular weights that deeply penetrate the skin and optimize hydration. Just in time for the harsh fall and winter seasons, the 7D Retrograde Gel Cleanser and 7D Mystifying Gel Moisturizer work to immediately hydrate the skin while firming, plumping and smoothing fine lines over time. This one-two punch can also be used as steps one and three in the Humanrace three-minute facial for an extra boost of hydration. This set, like all Humanrace products, are verified by Environmental Working Group’s Skin Deep Database, which means they’re safe for everyone and free of harmful chemicals and endocrine disrupters.

Sangre De Fruta Botanical Bar Soap $84 CAD

We fell in love with Sangre De Fruta’s botanical delights on a trip to Arcana many years ago and have been working our way through their entire product range ever since. Just in time for the forthcoming holiday season, they have released a limited edition bar soap trio for hand and body, combining the perfect balance of botanical oils and fats to cleanse, nourish, and gently scent the skin (naturally, of course). Wrapped in botanically dyed Japanese paper by British Columbia artist Laura Admussen, who foraged ingredients to dye the paper, the three scents included are the familiar Sangre De Fruta Garden of Earthly Delights, Head of Roses, and Neroli Noir.

Périne Beauty Hydro Doux Hydrating Face Cream, $56 CAD

We recently discovered this new Toronto-based skincare brand and cannot gate-keep them any longer. We love Périne Beauty’s Hydro Doux Hydrating Face Cream, particularly from their simple yet dialed-in products range. It just melts onto the skin and forms a protective barrier that feels almost like a puffy jacket in the winter, gently comforting you from the cold air. The nutrient-dense formula is perfect for all skin types and features a combination of Camelia oil to nourish, strengthen and protect, Yucca for hydration, and Squalane for elasticity.

Sporty & Rich Beauty Multi-Vitamin face Mist, $60 CAD

We’ve Sporty & Rich fans for what feels like forever, and earlier this fall, they launched their first range of clean skincare products. We’ve had a moment to try them all, and our pick of the pack is their multi-vitamin face mist. We love a face mist for a boost of hydration after the sauna, or after a long day when you skin feels a little dull and this formulation is packed with super fruits and plant extracts rich in Vitamin A, C, and E that calm irritation and restore balance and hydration to the skin. Each Sporty & Rich Beauty Product comes with access to their Skin + Gut Reset Guide (a 14-day guide developed by founder Emily Oberg and naturopath Dr. Melissa Cugliari who specializes in the skin/gut connection).

Beauties Lab x Étymologie FLUIDE Emulsifying Cleansing Oil

With event season starting to ramp up, lately we’ve been gravitating back to a double cleanse routine and we love Étymologie’s latest collab with Beauties Lab. FLUIDE is an emulsifying cleansing oil that not only cleanses and dissolves makeup but also nourishes and soothes. With key ingredients like squalane working to hydrate and papaya enzyme to clarify the skin, this cleansing oil has earned a forever spot in our skincare routine this season. It’s also naturally scented with Neroli to make you feel extra luxurious without any of the irritation of synthetic fragrance.
