The two-step duo features a naturally scented hand exfoliator with notes of Bergamot and Vetiver that work with perlite, rambutan, and avocado oil to nourish the skin and even smooth fine lines, and a hand serum which quickly hydrates skin with avocado butter, shea butter, aloe vera, prickly pear and cactus flower extract. Both products are free of sulfates parabens, silicon, and are also vegan, and cruelty-free. It’s a yes.
Ember Wellness Oil & Water Ritual, $59-99 CAD
We’ve been loving our oil and water ritual to bring balance and harmony to the skin, and our go-to stack is from the recently launched Ember Wellness. Available in a variety of combinations for every skin type, the facial oil and hydrosol duo mimics the skin’s natural oils in the gentlest way that’s safe for the most sensitive of skin. Their products take things back to basics combining plant distillates like Calendula, Rose Otto, and Frankincense known for their soothing properties to calm and relax while providing lasting hydration in your skincare routine. We love their formulations because they’re super simple and totally fragrance-free (except for the light naturally occurring scents of essential oils) and make for the perfect slick layer for your daily gua sha ritual.
GOOPGLOW Dark Spot Exfoliating Sleep Milk, $128 CAD
The goop goddesses have blessed us once again with a little something to upgrade your nightly skincare ritual that does a little extra work while we sleep and helps to undo some of that UV damage we’ve all be clocking this summer. This luxe yet potent little serum works to exfoliate the skin, target dark spots, dull skin, and uneven tone and texture through a combination of free form and encapsulated glycolic acid, lactic acid, desert milk, squalane, and piperonyl glucose. The result is an immediate release of active ingredients that target some of the toughest skin concerns overnight or used as a five-minute treatment mask or spot treatment for tougher spots.

Another often overlooked body part, the neck is getting some love from one of our favourite fragrance-free clean skincare brands, Necessaire. Clean girls rejoice everywhere cause your no makeup, makeup look just got a whole lot more effortless with Summer Friday’s product drop. It’s the brands first foray into the makeup category but we consider this sheer hydrating formulation to be an addition to your skincare routine; the last step and final step before heading off to the beach for the day.
