Last season during New York Fashion Week, the 3.1 Phillip Lim brand celebrated the 10th anniversary with their Spring 2016 Runway Show. To give us a look behind the scenes of the creative process that goes into each show the brand has just released a short documentary film.
Produced in collaboration with artist and environmentalist Maya Lin, the runway presentation and sculptural installation or soil will centre on the universal message ‘Stop and Smell the Flowers’ which prompts us to pause and really take it all in. According to a press release, the soil used in the show will go back to New York City community gardens projects “in an exercise of appreciation and gratitude”.
Watch the Robert Hamada-directed documenary above now and stay tuned for our coverage from the Spring 2016 show.
