Would it even be Christmas if we weren’t doing last-minute shopping for what seems like two months straight!? Seriously, can consumerism just chill for a second? Don’t get it twisted, we love shopping as much as the next person, but let’s gift with intention this holiday season, instead of going crazy buying another generic item we may never use.

With your sister, your mother, your best friend, your lover, heck even yourself in mind, we’ve rounded up the very best gifts for her. We’ve got luxurious stocking stuffers, absurd statement pieces, and even a few practical items to round things out this year with an emphasis on sustainable, local, and independent brands.

Rouge Hermès Matte Metallic Lipstick, $93 CAD

Who wouldn’t like to find a little orange box inside her stocking this holiday!? Just in time for the gifting season, Hermès has released their a firey trio of limited edition autumn winter Rouge lipsticks. Packaged in their signature refillable tubes, this seasons shades transport us to another world where molten hot lava bubbles up flambouantly, a burning nod to Gregoris Pyrpylis’s creative direction.

The iconic collection includes Rouge Feu, a classic fiery red with a chic matte finish; Rouge Cinabre, a vermillion red with just a hint of shimmer; and Rouge Grenat, a crimson red with a translucent flash of garnet that straddles metallic and matte. As always the lipsticks are fragranced with notes of notes of arnica,
sandalwood, and candied angelica flower, by Christine Nagel, director of creation and olfactory heritage for Hermès Parfums.

Steff Eleoff Squiggle Ring, $280 USD

Jewellery really is the best gift to give and receive. It may come in a tiny box, but the excitement level is sky high. Is it a tennis bracelet? Diamonds!? Not quite – it’s honestly better! This super cool squiggle ring by Steff Eleoff, a Toronto-based female-founded brand has been on our wish list for quite some time. Her pieces have been worn by some of the world’s biggest names, including Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Willow Smith, and Kali Uchis, and hopefully, the only name that matters, you! We love the squiggle ring because it can be worn as a midi ring or stacked with any of her other pieces so you can give them as a gift year after year and build a collection.

This year Fendi celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Baguette with twenty-five iconic re-editions of the infamous armpit bag. It’s officially chilly finger season, and that means your girl could almost definitely use a couple of new pairs of gloves this year. But skip the skinny finger cashmere lined variety, no matter how sexy they seem, and opt for these super fun printed mittens from one of our favourite Scandinavian designers Stine Goya. Not only are they the most adorable print which will pop with almost any black jacket, but they will also actually keep her fingers warmer than any other glove.

Canada Goose Toronto Boots, $795 CAD

Yet another practical gift guide idea for your friend, lover or sister this holiday season from our faves over at Canada Goose. You might know them for the unanimously warm winter puffers, but they’ve made their first foray into winter boots, and they’re just what you need to take on Canadian winter. The aptly named Toronto Boot pays homage to our hometown with a unisex design inspired by the shape of a Maple Leaf.  With an outsole designed for grip, an insulted midsole to keep you warm from the ground up, and a structure that allows you to hop through slush and ice on firm fitting, the Toronto boot will keep you going all winter long.
