Year In Review – Top 10 of 2009

Well folks, I know you are dying to see my list for top albums of 2009. After much deliberation, re-listening, heart-searching, and fact checking on my iTunes play count, I have come up with what I deem the best album releases of the past year. You may or may not believe this, but it was surprisingly easy to nail down my favourites. The hardest thing I found and always find when I am compiling these year end lists is trying to sort through my own personal feelings towards an album and those that other people push on to me. Meaning, I have to check myself, so as to not feeling obliged to put an album on the list just because some one else said they are cool, or what have you. You see, I am the pusher, not any one else!

So without further ado, I am pleased to present to you, my top 10 of 2009, with my five albums that deserve mention even though they did not make the list. They were still stellar albums, they either didn’t have the staying power of the top 10, or were EP’s and mixtapes, which sadly don’t belong in a top 10.

Enjoy!
