wings + horns Spring/Summer 2014 Lookbook

wings-horns-2014-ss14-11

wings + horns upcoming Spring/Summer 2014 collection celebrates the brand’s 10th anniversary and is also inspired by the Japanese seaside. Although the number of pieces is somewhat skeletal, it’s clear that craftsmanship is key for wings + horns. Utilizing a colour palette of indigo, khaki, cream and grey with pops of orange and olive are perfect for the transition period in-between winter and spring and will still carry your wardrobe into the warmer months. What’s particularly interesting is the textile choices of kimono cloths that were delicately weaved into utilitarian fabrics that result in ancient patchwork patterns such as  quill prints and sakiori stripes. The small collection also has outstanding diversity, ranging from blazers to fisherman pants to knit sweaters, all without missing a beat and still flowing nicely. Overall a sophisticated lookbook for an accomplished collection.
