Attending fashion month in the winter is no easy feat. You’re dealing with holiday travellers, weather delays and cancellations, not to mention packing in layers to look your best despite frigid temperatures. Since we’ll be in Japan next month during Toronto Fashion Week, we decided to head down to New York, our home away from home, to support Canadian designers like KAELEN, Beaufille, and Tanya Taylor who show at NYFW as well as heap of worldwide brands.
Presentations and shows aside, perhaps the most enjoyable part of Fashion Week is getting dressed.
I of course made sure to rep some Canadian designers like Laura Siegel, Mackage, KAELEN, integrating a couple key designer pieces from my favourite Canadian department store, Holt Renfrew, and finished off my looks with sunglasses by Karen Waker and Illesteva.
