What I Wore: Canada Goose Mirabel Trench

Canada Goose Mirabel Trench

As the temperatures drop, I always scramble towards the wooly warm things in my wardrobe thinking they’ll keep me nice and cozy in the sometimes crippling cold wind in Toronto. But I’m beginning to learn that sometimes you have to look to synthetic materials for true warmth like any good Canadian eventually does. That’s why I love my Canada Goose Mirabel Trench; it’s perfect for layering up underneath with cashmere or wool, like in this photo where I’m wearing an Isabel Marant x H&M sweater, and awesome for biking and running in the winter.

It’s got a handy hood with pulleys, perfect for a windy day, with more than enough room for a fun fur hat like the mink one I’ve got on in this photo. I also love this trench because of it’s beautiful leather detailing on the trims and that the subtle branding is black on black.

It’s probably the most feminine of all the high-tech items in my wardrobe, accentuated by the pulleys at the waist which help to keep that hourglass shape. I’ve been pretty much living this coat since it’s proved to be warmer than my wool jackets so far this winter.

Take a look at some of the detail shots of how I’ve styled the trench with H&M, New Kid, Muji, vintage Alfred Sung, a vintage mink hat, vintage fashion jeans, and Moscot shades.
