At the beginning of the month Volkswagen began placing ‘Pop Up Art Galleries’ across Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal. The galleries consisted of framed and numbered long-exposure light paintings created by the VW 2012 Volkswagen Jetta GLI, check out the video below. The ‘heist’ component comes into play because the paintings are not securely fasten to the walls; encouraging passerby’s to either ‘steal’ the painting or inspect curiously and then walk away.
