For the December issue of Dazed & Confused, which is also the magazine’s 20th anniversary, the publication posted portraits of 20 modern cultural icons. Included in this list was Alicia Keys, Kate Moss, Tilda Swinton and many more, each of which had their own unique cover, with an accompanying list of 20 rising stars chosen by each celebrity. Included in Pharrell Williams list was Maxine Ashley who he discovered in 2010 and has since been working with her helping perfect her signature “grinding melodic pop”.
