SummerWorks 2011: Powers and Green Go

Hawley Dunbar August 17, 2011 Concert Reviews, Music No Comments

We had the urge to dance on Saturday, so naturally we headed back to take in more of the SummerWorks festival, this time seeing Powers and Green Go at the Lower Ossington Theatre. Opting out of the sold out ALL CAPS! Island Festival to stay on dry land to support two local bands who both managed to make our evening.

We’d seen Green Go many years ago at Steam Whistle’s Unsigned Music Series, so naturally we were excited to hear how they’d progressed. Powers warmed the crowd with their brand of electronic dance pop back lit by strobe lights and artist installed video imagery, while Green Go’s familiar indie dance rock was enjoyable as always. Check out our photos below.
