17 year old Bridie Monds-Watson is the songwriter behind SOAK. The Irish native is the first to be added to the roster of Goodbye records, the label started by the band members of CHVRCHES. She has previously released an EP titled “Sea Creatures” in 2012 and has toured with Tegan and Sara and will CHVRCHES around the UK in the next couple of months.
Here is the music video for “Blud” that’s just premiered on Stereogum. We’re well impressed by this acoustic tune. Watson played all the instruments on the track, apart from the bass. It’s an uncomplicated and infectious love song, embellished with some touches of drums and light acoustic, making Watson’s delicate voice the main appeal. We’re excited to see what else she has in sort for us in the upcoming months!
