For me the autumn is a time for renewal. It’s time to refresh the skin, soften out those locks and prepare for the cold front ahead. So here are a few of my favourite products to do just that.
NUFACE Mini Facial Toning Device
We all start aging at the ripe age of 25, so I don’t see any harm in being proactive and taking care of skin elasticity and any teeny wrinkles that may exist. This mini version of the NUFACE Trinity is a great way to increase skin tone, contour the face, and lessen the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. It costs a pretty penny of about $240.00 CAD but is well worth the price if you’re more of the spa-at-home type.
Graydon Clinical Luxury By Nature – The Putty
As we all know colder weather can dry the heck out of your skin. The Putty is here to help! Formulated with Aloe Vera Juice, and Avocado Oil, this all natural putty will heal anything from a burn or scratch, to full scale skin irritations. This product is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and people with very dry skin types. This product is paraben free and safe to use on a daily basis.
This is the perfect palette for the fall. With cranberry and copper hues as well as a great selection of nudes that will bring you from day to night in an instant. The palette comes in a great travelling case and includes a double-end brush and features 20 brand new eye shadows.
Anastasia – Amrezy Palette
This 12-shade eye shadow palette is an absolute dream. The jewel tones and bronze shades, will do wonders for the fall/winter smokey eye. The palette consists of twelve shades all screaming fall and winter. While this palette does have some similar shades to the VICE 3 palette, it is a bit lower on the pay scale so it’s definitely an option if you’re not committed to shelling out for a more expensive palette.
Urban Decay – Naked Illuminated
As much as I like to keep the illumination and dewy-ness for the summer and spring months, we all like to look as fresh as possible during the fall and winter too. The new Naked Illuminated is such a beautiful powder, you won’t even want to use it! This is a great product for highlighting and acting as a base for eye shadow.
DRY BAR – Gold Mine Shimmering Leave-In Conditioner
I’m not sure if this applies to everyone, but in between seasons, my hair tends to go a little haywire. It goes from oily to dry and it sheds, and I just don’t like it. I love the DRY BAR line of products and when I came across Gold Mine, I knew somewhere deep down in that shimmering bottle of liquid gold that it would help. And it did! This product will leave your hair feeling soft , moisturized, and looking so shiny. It’s great to use if you’re a blow dryer, and big into brush styling. Purchase this for the fall winter months and I promise you won’t be sorry!
Tangle Teezer
I have to admit that when I first tested this product I was sceptical. The packaging was adorable, but I just wasn’t quite convinced that I could use that teeny brush and get through all the tangles. Of course, I was wrong. This brush is a life saver. I have it with me at all times and literally gets out any knots or tangles. It’s a perfect addition to your purse, and will come in handy during the cool windy days of fall.
