Sauvage Toronto Launch

Last Wednesday, we attended the opening party of Sauvage, a new women’s retail store on a trendy stretch of Queen St W. Nestled in between galleries, restaurants and well-respected Toronto retailers like Cabaret Vintage, Sauvage has found a permanent home after hosting a pop-up shop in the Burroughs building this past spring.

The event was hosted by Gracie Carroll, a fellow Toronto blogger who has written about Sauvage for Post City magazine and was also celebrating the one year anniversary of her blog. Passed apps, drinks, popcorn, cupcakes and a DJ greeted us when we arrived to the event, which quickly filled up with a fashionable set of young women.

Sauvage is definitely on the ball, carrying brands like Cheap Monday, Senso, Miista and Australian designer Evil Twin. An impressive shoe display greets customers upon entry and is definitely the boutique’s best feature. On-trend with leopard-print denim, sheer, drapey blouses, and chunky wool sweaters in fall’s jewel-toned key colours, Sauvage carries a range of casual wear ranging from $100-$350. We scoped a few items that would be great for the office, lounging around on the weekends and even a few options for upcoming holiday parties – basically, a one-stop shop for all your fashion needs.

Here’s a look at the store and some of our favourite snaps of the night.
