These two high-school prep seniors from Vermont wanted to get into New York fashion week last fall so bad that they managed to hack into BPCM’s PR database and add their names to every list, even such tight shows like Preen, Alexander Wang, and Erin Fetherston. Not sure entirely how they managed to pull it off but they did in fact make it to fashion week last year and were even photographed by Scott Shuman aka The Sartorialist.
Turns out Becca Shumlin (the girl pictured above) is the daughter of Vermont’s State Senate president who is running for governor. Not sure how this scandal might negatively affect his campaign but when you’re trying to portray yourself as a man of the people it doesn’t exactly bode well having a daughter running around in YSL cage heels at fashion week.
