NXNE 2011 | Wild Nothing at Lee’s Palace

Hawley Dunbar June 19, 2011 Live Music, Music No Comments

Last night AUX rounded up some of the best bands for their North By North East showcase including Guards, Twin Shadow, Wild Nothing, and Memory House packing out Lee’s Palace like nothing we’ve ever seen before. Wild Nothing was the first band we caught and we were pleasantly surprised by how much better Jack Tatum was from his debut Toronto performance at Wrongbar back in February this year that had terrible sound issues and left a negative impression.

He played a good mix of Gemini and Evertide with a new track, whose name escapes us, nearing the end of the forty ish minute set. Check out our photos as well as a video of “The Witching Hour” (please excuse the sub par sound).

All photos and video taken with love on an Olympus E-PL2.
