We’ve been prepping non-stop for our very first year at CMJ bringing you coverage of their annual Music Marathon in New York and earlier this week NPR launched their very own 24-hour CMJ preview channel, curated by nine college music radio directors from across the US. The moment we saw this we felt a sigh of relief, as many of the bands playing at the festival are unreleased up and comers (lots of big names too), and we started to panic thinking about troving the internet trying to educate ourselves on the ones we’re unfamiliar with, and very much want to check out.
In keeping with the scope of CMJ, a festival for musical discovery, we’re aiming to see as many new up and comers as we can during the festival, and this stream has pointed us in the right direction and has us super excited for next week!
