One of Nike’s biggest goals has been to create gear that allows an athlete to fully focus on their craft. Today they’ve unveiled a new thermoregulating composite technology and a new training collection for the fall and winter season that helps the body maintain a higher core temperature during challenging environmental conditions like an outdoor winter run. Each piece of gear in the collection features a three-layer composite material specially designed to keep you comfortable, warm and dry without weighing you down.
In the making for two years now, Nike introduced Sphere raised-node technology that provides breathability and lightweight insulation. This traps in the heat while the spacer thermal design allows it to release, so you don’t overheat during a workout. The design also features a wind-resistant water-repellent coating so a little bit of rain or snow won’t stop your workout.
The Therma-Sphere Max collection consists of a men’s training jacket and training pant as well as a training vest for women, all of which are available now at Nike locations worldwide as well as online. Take a closer look at the features and design of each piece below.
In addition to Sphere raised-node technology the Nike Therma-Sphere Max Men’s Training Jacket also includes bonded zippered pockets to make sure your phone doesn’t go flying while you’re exercising, a headphone opening, and a scuba hood with cord locks for snug personalized fit.
The Nike Therma-Sphere Max Men’s Training Pant also uses the same three-layer composite material as the jacket so that the athlete’s whole body can stay warm and dry while training. Other features include articulated seams, a full-length gusset and inseam panels, which allow for increased mobility and breathability, as well as concealed zippers and a recycled draw cord with textured zipper pulls.
Last in the collection is the Nike Therma-Sphere Max Women’s Training Vest which was also designed for cold weather training. Aside from the three-layer composite material the sleek and sporty vest features a water-repellent finish, and a zippered pocket so you can always listen to your tunes while training.
