Kith has something special in store to celebrate the opening of its Miami flagship store this weekend. The New York City-based retailer is partnering with Nike to bring back an iconic Air Force 1 colourway, the “Linen,” originally released in 2001 as a Japan exclusive and a longtime grail for many AF1 aficionados. In true grail fashion, these beauties will not be easy to come by, and are available only by raffle on four separate days during the first two weeks of Kith Miami’s opening. The first day is December 2, which conveniently lands right in the middle of Art Basel festivities.

The Linen AF1 are a one-to-one replica of the original, featuring a slimmed shape, premium leather and a neoprene liner. To commemorate the release, Nike and Kith commissioned legendary artist Futura to create a special art piece which will be on display at the new store. The piece also provided the inspiration for a number of special acrylic boxes that have been produced to house the sneakers, rumoured to be limited to 50 units, and available only to friends and family of Kith.
