We first saw Toronto band Powers a few months back during SummerWorks festival co-headling with Green Go and happily caught them again last month at Steam Whistle’s latest indie Unsigned series alongside Bonjay and Hot Kid.
It’s clear they’re just starting out as they have that passionate sheen (hold the bravado) in their sound live and on the EP, which dropped officially last week.
They’re one of our local loves for the moment and are definitely a band to watch. Check out their fresh new EP below and the video for “Second Summer” from a few months back.
