Free Tickets! It’s Frightening!

Brooklyn based White Rabbits have been around for a few years touring with the likes of The Walkmen, Spoon, and Kaiser Chiefs.  It’s hard to break into the indie scene these days, but this sextet, originally from Columbia, Missouri have just two albums and one EP under their belts and yet they have caught the attention of Britt Daniel of Spoon. There first album Fort Nightly was a bit hit or miss in my opinion, although “Kid On My Shoulders” and “The Plot” are excellent tracks. Their newest album It’s Frightening blew Fort Nightly out of the water, which is no doubt due to Daniel’s participation as producer and as one of the key songwriters. Maybe I’m just anxious for Spoon’s new album to drop, but it’s frightening how Daniel’s magic has rubbed off on White Rabbits and as a result they’re really starting to grow on me, particularly “They Done Wrong / We Done Wrong” and “Leave It At The Door”.

They’ll be playing in Toronto at Horseshoe Tavern this Saturday October 24th! For your chance to win a free pair of tickets to the show click Here and simply answer the skill-testing question to be entered. If you’ve read this far, you’ve already got the correct answer!
