On June 28, the coolest record label on the planet, DFA will release Cover + Remix, a 7″ split single featuring Deerhunter and Calvinist, also known as music critic Sasha Frere-Jones covering tunes by 80’s post-punkers Pylon. The A-side features Deerhunter covering “Cool”, taken from Pylon’s 1980 debut album Gyrate; which you can listen to below. Oh and it ROCKS! There are two Frere-Jones remixes of Pylon’s “Yo-Yo”, both of witch feature vocals from Sleigh Bells’ Alexis Krauss. I can hardly wait!
