We’ve been following rising star Maggie Rogers ever since she made Pharrell Williams (and us) cry that time. This past fall she shared her heartwarming video for “Alaska” (aka the song that started it all) & a video for Dog Years later this past December. Her debut EP, Now That The Light Is Fading, is due out a months from today and just yesterday Rogers released her new single “On + Off” on BBC Radio 1. The track is co-produced by Rogers alongside Nick Das and Doug Schadt. As Rogers told BBC Radio 1…

“I’ve spent my whole life making quiet music, I’m really, really excited to be a little loud…There’s a sort of sexual cliché in the song. There’s a lyric that says ‘You turn me on’ but if you listen to the rest of the lyrics, that is actually about emotional stability. Being on and off and finding a person that grounds you. Because I think that’s one of the things that’s most important to me in relationships. It’s a song you can dance to and a song you can get down to, but for me there’s a lot of heart and soul in it, too.”

Now That The Light Is Fading comes out February 17th on Capitol Records & Rogers is set to play The Tonight Show February 20th. Check out the EP album art & tracklist below.
