M.I.A. has never been one for playing within the safe boundaries of convention, so when a group of diehard fans asked Maya for some new music, the singer surprising obliged. Leaking her new track “AtTENTion” to the aforementioned group of fans, who banded together to collectively harass the singer for music on Twitter, M.I.A. e-mailed them one a new track. Of course this track has since found its way onto YouTube, and now to you. The intentionally choppy, digital track has not yet been confirmed if it will find its home on the upcoming album Matangi album due out next year. Listen below.
